The Columbia Music Festival Association will be presenting a professional development seminar in accordance with their Community Development educational Series. This event will describe the ins and outs of obtaining a 501(c)(3) status for your organization. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to transition to a nonprofit, this event is perfect for you. Hear first hand accounts, pro and con analysis of the designation, and connect with other community members who are passionate about making a difference. Led by Becky Ferrell, Assistant Professor of Arts Management at the College of Charleston, this workshop will also have attorneys and CMFA board members Mitchell Goldsmith and Steve Moon on hand to discuss legal issues in contracts and related matters.
